# Doubao Seedance 2.5 Draft

> The MixRoute Doubao Seedance 2.5 Draft route for 480p video previews, with request and task-query examples.

MixRoute lists `doubao-seedance-2-5-260628-draft` as a separate Seedance 2.5 Draft route. Use the complete ID, including `-draft`; it is a MixRoute route identifier, not a replacement name for the regular Doubao or Dreamina model.

Draft previews help check scene composition and motion before producing a final video. Use 480p for Draft requests; do not apply the regular route's 720p or 1080p output settings to this Draft example.

## Request Layout

Keep `model`, `prompt`, and `asset` at the root. Put `draft`, `content`, and all generation settings inside `metadata`. The example explicitly sets `metadata.draft: true`; it does not rely on an implicit default from the model suffix.

## Request Example

Set `MIXROUTE_API_KEY` before running the request. Submission creates a billable asynchronous task; do not automatically resubmit after a client timeout.

## Query the Task

Replace `MIXROUTE_TASK_ID` with the MixRoute task ID returned by submission. Wait for a successful terminal status before reading the video URL; a successful submission alone does not mean generation is complete.

The regular model `doubao-seedance-2-5-260628` and the Dreamina model `dreamina-seedance-2-5-260628` remain separate entries. Use the route-specific documentation instead of changing prefixes or removing the suffix.
